My name is Anthony Dorso III, owner of Custom Grounds LLC.. I have over 20 years experience in the lawn care business and have owned my company since 2003. I started my company primarily doing lawn maintenance. In 2004, I began offering lawn fertilization services (B-2051 CT Registration). Today, we only specialize in lawn fertilization and repair (see all services). As an owner/operator, I perform all of my own services. I make the sale, perform the service, and follow up with customer service. My goal is to provide you fertilization services that have a minimal environmental impact and are safe for you and your family. “Anthony Dorso has saved my lawn. I have almost an acre of lawn which was always full of weeds and clover. In the 1990’s I hired Lawn Doctor. They got rid of most of the weeds and clover, but the lawn became invaded by some form of broadleaf grass that Lawn Doctor wouldn’t get rid of. They told me to put ‘Roundup’ on a Q-tip and apply it to each blade of grass, which sounded so ridiculous because it would take years to do.
Anthony came to the rescue, analyzed the soil, told me how he could get the lawn to look even and plush.
I hired him in the early 2000’s, and noticed a remarkable difference in only the first month, at less expense. Since then, I have been pleased with all the service he has provided, including taking care of an invasive weed in a non grassy area not harming other vegetation.
